Clean Cities Georgia (CC-GA) is a 501c3 non-profit organization founded in 1993 and is part of the National Clean Cities and Communities Network in partnership with the U.S. Department of Energy Vehicle Technologies Office. CC-GA works to advance clean transportation solutions for all communities through stakeholder engagement, matching the right clean fuel for the right application, grant assistance, and education and outreach. CC-GA is hosted at Southface Institute as part of the Sustainable Communities and Transportation team.

Position Summary: The Program Coordinator supports multiple ongoing grant projects and initiatives, assists with reporting and data collection related to grant initiatives and Green Fleets/ Annual Reporting, and represents both organizations to engage stakeholders and partners. Projects that the Program Coordinator would support include but are not limited to: Southeast Clean Cities Expansion, CALSTART Zero Emission Corridor Planning, Transit Transformations, Hydrogen Refueling Stations, Zero Emission Port Education, and Energy Future Technical Assistance.


The Program Coordinator will report to the Program Manager, work closely with Clean Cities Georgia's Executive Director and team, as well as collaborate with other Southface teams as needed.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management Support: Assisting with the planning, implementation, and evaluation of multiple projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
  • Event Coordination: Assist with event planning for conferences, trainings, webinars, and community outreach events. Specifically, support planning and coordination for Clean Transportation Expo to be held in Fall 2025.
  • Communication: Facilitate effective communication among project partners and stakeholders. Create content for project-related communications, including emails, reports, presentations, and flyers as needed.
    • Manage CC-GA main office line by being responsive to calls and voicemails, forwarding contacts to the correct team member.
    • Assist with branding development to ensure seamless messaging on CC-GA website, social media, Press Releases, and other materials.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:Cultivate and maintain relationships with local, regional, and national stakeholders, including industry partners, government agencies, and community organizations.
  • Funding and Resources:Support efforts to identify, write, coordinate with partners and pursue funding opportunities for projects and coalition operations. This includes grants at the Federal, State, Local, and Foundation levels as well as addressing the needs of Member Organizations.
  • Data Management: Collect and report data related to project activities and the use of alternative fuels and advanced vehicles.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the Sustainable Communities team, Clean Cities Georgia team, and other Southface departments to achieve organizational and project goals.
  • Additional Duties:Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Related Bachelor's or Technical Degree. Preferred subjects include Business, Marketing, Communications, Environmental Science, Urban Planning, Engineering, and other similar fields. This is a highly interdisciplinary role that can receive on-the-job training.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and reports and timely delivery of requirements.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to represent the organization effectively in public forums.
  • Open-mindedness, willingness to learn, and maintaining flexibility to new opportunities.
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative and resourcefulness.
  • Exceptional task management and organizational skills.
  • Strong interest in community outreach and environmental justice work.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Collaborative and positive team-building demeanor.
  • Passion for working with an organization dedicated to creating more resilient, equitable communities to move towards a low-carbon future.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of relevant work experience
  • Event planning and coordination experience
  • Marketing or Communications experience
  • Proficiency with Technology tools, including Microsoft Office, Artificial Intelligence, Google Drive, Canva, or MailChimp.
