Education Team Overview

Achieving a successful regenerative economy requires a well-trained and educated workforce ready to solve complex problems and implement solutions. Our Education team develops curricula and delivers trainings that empower current and future generations of the workforce.

Position Overview

The Education Program Manager reports to the Education + Research Director. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop new and maintain existing relationships to expand Southface educational opportunities and connect successful trainees with employment opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Southface subject matter experts and trainers to develop, implement and deliver curricula that advances our mission.
  • Work with the team director and key staff to evaluate the effectiveness of Southface training and education programs to ensure relevant, science-based information is delivered to Southface audiences.
  • Assist with development of the Education team budget, including the pursuit and administration of grants, fee-for-service opportunities and government contracts.

Qualifications

The successful applicant for the position will meet the following requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in education or closely related field.
  • Five years' progressive professional responsibility for management and administration of education programs. Experience with adult education and training preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience with program development from defining goals through implementation, including analysis of outcomes and financials.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional task management and organizational skill
  • Strong written and verbal communication skil
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office.
  • Knowledge of learning management systems.
  • Collaborative and positive team-building demeanor.
  • Valid driver's license with no major violations.

Physical Requirements

Ability to carry 35 pounds, which may involve carrying program materials including signs, presentation materials and equipment, such as a projector.

Hours of Work

Monday through Friday between 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. with flexible options. Occasional weekend or evening hours.
